What ever happened to that civil war Canada was gonna enter into?  "Quebec vs The Rest".  

I can just see the wine bottles flying one way and the beer cans flying the other.

Quebec had their referendum, the sovereigntist lost.  It's pretty much a dead issue.

Man, I'd LOVE to. Those folks are my kind of people! Hunting up there is superb and the fishing is better!

Didn't I hear that Alberta alone has enough Canuck bucks to pay off Canada's national debt? And that your government paperwork allows a province to withdraw? (No ugly Civil War stuff like Lincoln started, right?)

Kinda, the goverment passed the "Clear Question" law when Quebec had their seperation referendum.  If a provence wants to have a referedum then then the question has to be a simple, "Do ya want to leave?" type question, not some roadkill, "If things would be better would ya maybe kinda want ta have some kinda relationship with Canada?".  The agrument can be made that there is now a new mechanism for seperation.  Of course there was always one there, just like there is in the US, which also has mechanisms for constitutional change.

Sorry Toad, but the small minority of westerns that want to leave Canada, for the most part, certainly don't want to join the US.

However we will take Hawaii and California off your hands.  :D
