Thats damn near a household name in this part of the country, and military Aircraft testing cirlces...he was Boeing's chief test pilot for the B-47, B-52, commercial A/C, and several variants that never made service.
Here he is doing a 1-G roll over Lake Washington during the Hydro-plane races while the Boeing big wigs were entertaining airline customers. He was NOT cleared to do this, but it sold alot of 707's soon after
