of course he's right, but who wants HT to concentrate on this. For example, how many of you have ever taken way too little fuel for a flight? Would you do that in real life? Heck no.

On a more serious note, I do have a pressing issue for HT to take a look at.

After 2 or 3 hrs of flying, I keep finding that I'm out of beer. This happens IN EVERY AC! I've mailed HT films of this happenning, but he keeps sending back links to various things called "counseling". If you're not gonna look at this seriously HT, at least you could send me some replacements (lost almost a full beer when I smacked wing on refueling hut).

Hmmm, don't know about telephone poles, but telephone wires! YES!

But the real question is.. did this sortie end with a "landed" or a "ditched"?

Q: Why do we need a second thread about this?

A: because everyone's not through humiliating him yet.

WOW! You'd almost think "everyone" started this thread just to humiliate him.

Not to play Devil's Advocate, but he has somewhat of a point.

At least if exiting on the field anywhere counted as a landing and not a ditch, this wouldn't be an issue at all.

I've bumped the damn shack myself a lot of times and it is incredibly frustrating. You're sitting on the rearm pad. Ready to go, but your plane can't turn tight enough to not nick the wing on the refuel shack and you end up disabled on the refuel pad.

A lot of people have asked for the size of the 'landed successfully' hotspots to be increased - is this on your drawing board hitech? (although if getting that feature in meant that it would delay something else that was more important, I'd gladly wait)

Just more thoughts..

I have never seen this requested but would be glad to put this on the list to thing to change. Would about double the width work?

double would be great but I do not have issue with the current size. I would like to see one pop up at the vh's though, since we are putting in our requests

..er.. that should read "Vehicle Base"

Hmm, well, anything more would help hitech IMO

Sometimes it's really aggrevating to nurse a damaged fighter home and then land about 10 feet from the runway.

It might not be a score issue (well, it is) but its more pride in being able to land successfully something screwed up. The other night I lost my engine and glided about 10 miles back to base, but I didn't know one of my gear was also shot away so I ended up right off the end of the runway

Anyway, yep, I agree that if it was doubled, it would help. Although I saw somewhere (maybe in the gameplay forum) someone asking for the entire field to count.

Also, another suggestion I saw was that when you drive into a hanger, your aircraft could be fixed in a manner similar to how you refuel.

Dont know how realistic that is itself, but it'd be kind of cool anyway    ..

edit - btw, thanks for responding. always glad to know god is watching

also - eagler, i think you can currently land at the vbases. Just taxi to somewhere near the vh and it counts as a landing.

Just curious...what airport you fly out of? I just want to make sure I NEVER buy a plane ticket and leave from that airport.

Pilot: Oh crap...I ran into the luggage cart again.

There you have it folks. Common civility wins the day.

Ahhh...I'd like to bring up a little point.  (sorry for the lateness).  Have any of you ever witnessed a real live USAF Wing Commander, or Squadron Commander for that matter..anyway, any of these Commander types reaction after a pilot, say...accidentally skid's an F-16 slightly off a runway, or perhaps...bump the wing of another aircraft in passing?  I have lol.  Never mind the damage to the plane...the pilot will most likely never find his bellybutton again and be real lucky to fly again, at least under said commander hehe.

HiTech, another possible thing to add to your list. I sent Superfly a map of a small field I wanted to create. This map to be precise:

The terrain editor will not let you create a new field type from scratch. I'd like to re-design fields to a few new configurations just for a change of pace. Would it be possible to create a field editor? Or simply integrate one into the existing terrain editor? Also, rearm pads do not work in the TE; at least not manually created ones. This probably belongs in the TE forum, but since this thread is here I'd thought I'd ask you.
