Hear hear!! (here?). I've been calling for Brian Griese's benching all year long. I don't expect another Elway, but the man ain't got the leadership skills of a sheep. And when he makes a booboo he doesn't compensate for it with an amazing play.

Compared at a similar point in their careers (4 years in), Griese is way ahead of Elway.
Heck Griese's career rating is better than Elway's.  And Elway peaked late in his career.
Elway is another guy whose statistics were a function of his team.  When they had no running game and a lousy offensive scheme, he threw more INT's than TD's.  When they get Shanahan, a great line, Terrell, Sharpe, Smith, etc, then suddenly he's the next Joe Montana.

Alright, since you refuse to think, and avoid the question, I'll stop the puzzle.

Would Favre win the MVP if in Oakland this year?

Not sure myself, but the point was Favre did amazingly well with a injury plagued team and having to start with a new receiver corps. It took me 3 games to get used to who was actually catching the ball for him. That must have been a huge obstacle to overcome. You give him Oakland’s line and targets, no matter how hard he tries to screw things up by doing the impossible and getting picked, but he actually pulls more impossible completions/TD’s out. That’s gotta seem fair.

I think Oakland is a better team overall, with it’s players and especially veterans. Schedule has little to do with it, the Bengals could beat any team this year “on any given Sunday” as they say, and that is why harping on schedule is just about silly. If sked had that much to do with it, you’d be rich in a casino. How much would the Raiders, or the Eagles, or even the Pats win by if they had to play the Vikings in the Metrodome this week on their 3 game streak?

Sorry, but as much I liked the Raiders living in the Bay Area and it’s true OAKLAND fans, they have1 SuperT for every real fan, and they need to dress in paper mache spiked shoulder pads and Halloween masks thinking they are badass mean rebel gang members or pirates or something. At least the guy that wore the rainbow wig in the 70’s and held the sign John 3:16 looks just as silly, but had a genuine cause. Only the Bears have more rabid blinded fans I think. They don’t dress up like wannabe gangbangers, they just are mean bastards, lol.

Actually, I think I watched the Falcons this year as intently as any team other than the Packers, just because Vick was such a show. Although I truly get pumped for a Packers game, I leave the blind fan-a-tism there. Good football is good football. Can't wait for the playoffs.

Watching the numbers of QBs that other teams have gone through this year its amazing how long Farve has gone with out missing one.
A neat stat would be how many QBs have missed games in the time since Farve has missed one.
Or how many QB game days have been missed. Hes at 170 something now isnt he?
I mean just QBs named Johnson would have to have missed 300 games in that time...

I think Gannon would have done great in GB.  Weak schedule and some WR's who can outrun LB's and DE's.
Favre would have done great in OAK.  But not so many long passes because the WR's are well past their prime and quite slow.
The thing about the Raiders is that they are a "system" team and Gannon knows the system better than anybody in the organization.  So I'm not sure they would look so pretty on offense without him acting as general.
I have no idea who would have MVP.

BTW

Winning percentage of Raiders' 2002 opponents:  .537
Winning percentage of Packers' 2002 opponents:  .451
Nobody in the NFL had an easier schedule than GB.  Only CIN had a tougher schedule than OAK.

As long as you don't steal my SB-ring-studded strap-on.
