mna, it'd be kind of nice/decent if some comparable plane was found in the plane set that would represent some of the later war jap planes and be skinned that way. like the tojo, the jack, uhhhhh

as it stands, the japs have almost no chance.

Tojo, and Jack were good planes but both were superseaded by the George and Ki 84 which prety much out preform or meat both of those planes in most areas except climb, the Jack was discontuned in production in favor of the George because the Navy felt it was a better fighter. The A6M5 we have is also a late war Japanese fighter. Realy all we cold hope for in terms of a preformance increse is the Ki 84 and even then it would be a marginal one over the George. The enemy planese were for the most part Just faster for the Japanese.

Ya they have a chance I ran this set up before and they hold their own prety well aganst those Rusian planes the only real advantage they have is spead and thats not everything.

 Jack:max spead 370mph aprox

 Tojo:aprox.375mph

 George:370mph aprox

 Frank: 388mph

It would be nice if the folks who really are good at the game would take a chance and fly the slightly inferior planes rather than always go with the sure (sic) bet.

FWIW, I like the russo planes better overall but the difficulty of opposing those planes in the japanese rides is motivating for me.

I also like this terrain.  Nicely done.

I'm a fan of fast hard hitting planes myself, but I can't say I feel overmatched in the n1kj-2 vs. LA-7's and Yak-9U's.  Either of those two (and in particular the LA-7) only get one mistake vs. the Nik.

I think the re-build times are way too short.
Even with the Cruiser guns I couldn't keep the depot down.  The first things I hit were rebuilding as I finished up on the last buildings.

Any return trips you make to a base, everything that you killed is back up.

Had a go on this one last night and it's the first CT in a long while I haven't enjoyed.  This was mainly because it was just like being in the MA--an LA7 and Nik-fest.  I flew the Japanese side and I almost felt like saluting anyone who was flying anything other than an LA7--of course there was no danger of my arm getting tired.

The terrain is spectacular and the map design in terms of a variety of interesting fights, strat elements etc., is excellent.

I'd suggest that the next time we do this we take out the LA7.  The LA5 is almost as good, and makes for a good fight with the N1K.  If you took out the N1K it would still be a good set-up, but I think the Japanese forces would still be slightly over-matched.

Say again, though, another awesome map.  The quality of the work being done for the CT now is extraordinary.  Atmospheric, and also supporting great fights: that's a tough one to pull off.

Bug found: Southwest rearm pad at A5 does not function, and if you leave the plane while on the pad, it's scored as a ditch.

As too the mismatch between the Russian and Japanese: The Russian aircraft are forced to play hit and run... Should one blow their E, they die in short order.

My regards,

This is my favorite setup in the CT thanks for bringing it back its not all bad I find it very challenging to fly Japanese planes aginst these russian speed deamons if you ever slow one down its an easy kill.

I had fun in a yak last night.  I have to admit nothing turns me away faster than russian planes, but this doesnt seem tooo bad.    The rough part is the ijn have to sit and wait for a mistake, as they dont have a chance at speed and alt with the yak or la7.  Even niks dropping from alt dont have a chance as they compress so quickly.

Not saying they will end up dead, just not easy kills.

Think it is a pretty fair matchup, I have been flying the Japenese planes and seem to be able to hold my own against the LAs and the Yak, and for me that is something, hell I cant even get a kill in a Hellcat anymore but seem to do pretty good with the Japenese planes, Hmmmm maybe i need to think this over. As easy as i am to kill makes me a little excited to get 3 or 4 kills on a sortie, course it helps that Eskimo has been flying on the same side, hehe!
