Instead, how about tracking down some of the bugs/features that frustrate so many of us?
1. Field captures occurring when the town is mostly up. I've seen this at least a half-dozen times.
2. Tanks are tough critters. Trees, rocks and buildings shouldn't damage tanks.
3. The new net smoothing code has a habit of smoothing a guy out of existence! You can be d300 on a guy and he'll just disappear. Frequently, in a few seconds, he'll reappear, albeit off to the side or perhaps he's even split S and then he's behind you.
4. PT boats die when touching the shoreline. Maybe this makes sense if you're going 40mph, but at an idle?
5. We really need some new maps.
6. The cockpits on many of the planes are really bad. The 190A5 comes to mind. I imagine there are other planes equally in need of updated cockpits.
I would glad give up all new planes and upcoming features to AH for an entire year if you would resolve the above issues.

In regards to your second point, I wholeheartedly concur. I don't understand how I can be in a tiger and get hit with multiple bombs, strafed with all kinds of weaponry, and shot with rockets...and still drive away. Yet, the second I *BRUSH* up against a tree, my tank flips over and explodes into a 1,000 tiny bits. On AKDesert, I was driving my tiger along behind a squaddie who was in an M3. The idea was to take out a vbase. Well, he drives over this seemingly innocent rock and keeps on going. I hit the same rock, and I'm back in the tower. PT boats also fall into this category. They should not explode when they hit the beach. They should simply become immobile.
There are certainly some skins/textures that could use a facelift. Superfly and co. have done a great job with the new planes, and the retro-fitted delta pony looks fabulous. I'm sure more are on the way.
Disappearing planes has once again reared its ugly head. I'm sure they are working to resolve the problem. The net smoothing code may, as you said, smooth some planes right out of existence...
I know a bunch of guys are working on new maps to be submitted as MA maps. Nuttz is one. There is another guy...can't remember his name...who has posted some beautiful looking work in the terrain editor general forum. I'm sure there are more as well. Once they pass the "Hitech approval test", they'll be in rotation.
