I'm with Curly on this one and that almost looks like an episode of Hogan's hero's.

Sounds like you're asking for a patch. Most of us don't consider a patch a new version without new material included..

Wel Curly...I think your heart is in the right place but historically, HTC has been able to fix things and offer new planes.

There are a lot of things that need addressing...several of the things you mentioned are great ideas...fixing the GV damage, updated cockpits, etc.

I'd also like to see crater damage.  Tigers, planes, etc rolling through a 3600 pound crater without so much and bouncing around is pretty silly.

But I'm also hoping for some new maps  :) [Optimism mode ON]

I think this last version was the best release we've had in awhile because it focused on improving gameplay. The perk modifer and tightened netcode are worth far more to me than new planes. Another patch with HiTech focusing on stomping bugs and improving gameplay with new maps/suicide control/squelch list/vox improvements etc. would be great.

In the interim they can turn Nate and Superfly loose on revamping cockpits of some of the older planes. They did an outstanding job on the Mustang.

2.  Tanks are tough critters.  Trees, rocks and buildings shouldn't damage tanks.

3.  The new net smoothing code has a habit of smoothing a guy out of existence!  You can be d300 on a guy and he'll just disappear.  Frequently, in a few seconds, he'll reappear, albeit off to the side or perhaps he's even split S and then he's behind you.

4.  PT boats die when touching the shoreline.  Maybe this makes sense if you're going 40mph, but at an idle?

5.  We really need some new maps.

6.  The cockpits on many of the planes are really bad.  The 190A5 comes to mind.  I imagine there are other planes equally in need of updated cockpits.

I would glad give up all new planes and upcoming features to AH for an entire year if you would resolve the above issues.

In regards to your second point, I wholeheartedly concur.  I don't understand how I can be in a tiger and get hit with multiple bombs, strafed with all kinds of weaponry, and shot with rockets...and still drive away.  Yet, the second I *BRUSH* up against a tree, my tank flips over and explodes into a 1,000 tiny bits.  On AKDesert, I was driving my tiger along behind a squaddie who was in an M3.  The idea was to take out a vbase.  Well, he drives over this seemingly innocent rock and keeps on going.  I hit the same rock, and I'm back in the tower.  PT boats also fall into this category.  They should not explode when they hit the beach.  They should simply become immobile.

There are certainly some skins/textures that could use a facelift.  Superfly and co. have done a great job with the new planes, and the retro-fitted delta pony looks fabulous.  I'm sure more are on the way.

Disappearing planes has once again reared its ugly head.  I'm sure they are working to resolve the problem.  The net smoothing code may, as you said, smooth some planes right out of existence...

I know a bunch of guys are working on new maps to be submitted as MA maps.  Nuttz is one.  There is another guy...can't remember his name...who has posted some beautiful looking work in the terrain editor general forum.  I'm sure there are more as well.  Once they pass the "Hitech approval test", they'll be in rotation.

hmm it would be really nice to have a slightly more stable game...as long as we got 1 or 2 nwe planes with it...it isnt really a next "version" unless theres new planes or gv's or boats (GOD I HATE PT'S) or feature included with it...then its just a patch...but if they spent 5 or 6 months developing a "patch" to fix all these problems surely natedog and super fly could make 1 or 2 new planes or improve some of the oldest models

I agree.  Let Nate and Superfly update the models for the planes we've already got and the programmers can squash bugs instead of writing flight models for new planes.  :)

tho I still want a Ki-84, G4M, and He111 in the next release!  :)

The Fw A5 and 109 G10 REALLY need a new cockpit. There are a few other Fw A# versions I'd like to see, but I'm sure the allied rides take priority.

That didn't take long...

(All 190s and 109s are in need of new cockpit art... not just the dweeby G10)

I totally agree with this plane.  It had four 20mm underneath and four 50cal. on top in a turret. A lot of them had the 50cal. removed because the flash from the barrels would blind the pilot. Still, could you imagine the firepower? There wouldn't be a plane in the arena that could stand even a short burst.
As for new maps, I would like to see a permanent winter map that is circulated( add winter scemes to the planes, etc.).

Also add these:

Manned 88s at fields
B-25 or A-26(or both)
M5A1 Stewart
T-34/85
Sea Fury
B-24
Raiden

Stony
