How is hit% calculated?

(bullet hits during all sorties) / (bullets fired during all sorties)

or

average of all sorties (hits/fired)

?

Hit percentage = TotalTourBulletsHit / TotalTourBulletsUsed

for HIT % vrs objs its

(TotalTourBombsHit + TotalTourRocketsHit + TotalTourTorpedosHit) /
(TotalTourBombsUsed + TotalTourRocketsUsed + TotalTourTorpedosUsed

in gvs the only to get a core in this category is to get hits on obj with torps or rockets from a pt boat.

What counts as a hit for a fighter sortie? If you fly a fighter sortie... and strafe a VH... or hit a gv with guns, it is counted as a miss right?

All ords (bullets, bombs and rockets) all count as a fired projectile. Scoring in Fighters, you get 0.0% hits for buildings and other structures. Hits only count if it is on an enemy A/C or GV.

GV kills do not count for your K/D in fighters however.

If you are in a fighter in attack mode, then kills, hit percentage on buildings gvs planes and all that stuff does count.

If you are going to attack things on ground, be in attack mode.  You can do great in a sortie in a fighter, kill gv's and buildings, but if you were in in fighter mode doing this, you would have actually seriously hurt your score.

Trying to start trouble DrDea/Kvorkian?  There is nothing wrong with a guy wanting to learn to play the game "right" (as in how hitech designed it).   Calling names is inappropriate.

With this way to calculated hit% it is mostly based on the sorties in rides with high number of guns with high rate of fire (e.g. 8 .303s). Flying sorties in 109s with 60 rounds of 30mm won't affect hit% at all. This doesn't feel right somehow.
