Or go with Planc C: fire him, but don't tell him, just stop sending his paycheck out and "fix the glitch."

I wouldn't TOUCH his stapler especially if it was red.

If you do take it and move him to the basement be sure to have a lot of Fire insurance. :D

ah Office Space.. I'm living it today.. just found out I'm to be laid off today... company brought in a consolidator 6 months ago.. took longer than I expected.

Yeah, my company is sticking it to employees, too.  And I keep thinking about the line of work the "Office Space" company was in: reprogramming code for Y2K compliance.  All the employees in that sausage factory were going to be out of work by now anyway!
