Have to change this whole post-

The stat ranking does not seem to be a fair way to determine who the top fighter pilot is.

Please see my other post in this thread for the reasoning.

Aww Crap.

This might not work. I just checked the scores and the leaders are 2 guys with 1 sortie and 1 kill each.

This is not what I'm looking for.

I'm going to have to cancel the contest until I can figure out a way determine a qualified winner.

A guy with 1 kill and 1 sortie and 20mins online is not what I had in mind.

I have the answer to the problem of how to find a winner in a fair way. Give it to the person with the highest number of field captures

I'm serious, it is the only stat you can rely on to give you an idea of someone who is deserving.

It is the most fair answer. Think about it, it is.

Plus it sure would be nice to have some incetive for people to bring a goon

Well that "other" sim uses something called the Avin's ratio which is a good combo of k/d, time, etc.

Avin's ratio:

(kills + .25 x assists)^2 / (deaths + captures + bails + .25 x ditches + 1) x time

That ^2 above means squared.
