My wife says that I’m pretty lucky with once a day.  She thinks that very few couples that have been married six years and have two toddlers, get at it once a day.  Well, I’m certainly not going to argue that I’m not lucky, but I don’t think that once a day is all that uncommon for folks who have been married for only six years.  

Ok, so how long have you been married, how many kids do you have (and what ages are they), and what’s you shag coefficient?

I'm not married and I don't have kids, but from a thread like this on another site I'd say that you are very, very lucky.  Once a month would be more common than your situation, but once a week would be about average I think.

After 5 years they try to cut you down to every other day.
Yeah everyday is not bad for a 6 years.
Yeah every day is good, but if you do wait every other day
they get hotter

Been married four years now.

Two kids...one is 3, the other about to turn 2 next month.

Shag coefficient...variable.  Sometimes it is daily, then we will go a few days of no activity...leading me to try "other" methods to get me some.  (as evidenced by certain threads here)

I have to say the only reason it isn't every day all the time is the kids.  When it comes to the work that revolves around the kids, feeding, bathing, cleaning up, etc.etc. she does the bear share in our house.  She also works full-time.  The poor thing does get tired.

I tease her though, because the Buddist marriage "contract" we agreed to at our wedding is quite specific as to the male and female responsibilities.  It is somewhat dated...so that whenever I'm not getting enough action, or attention, I tell her that we must consult the "Rules" and that I will have a "word" with Budda if I don't get what I want.

it's not odd that sexual actvity decline over time in a marriage. Studies have shown that within a year, sexual acitivty will be half that it was after 6 months of a relationship.

One gets used to another and all of a sudden it's not as exciting. Women especially seem to 'suffer' or lose interest. Which is odd since they're the ones arguing that sex and emotions are tightly intertwined. It'd indicate that their feelings have cooled off and are on the decline .

I'm no expert, but brother says that when one of the spouses start taking the other for granted, the relationship takes a turn for the worse and keeps on going - not just with sex, but with everything.

Me, I prefer girlfriends. If she tires of me, she's free to leave.

Well lets see I have been married for 33 years and have 3 kids 32, 29,and 26. What are you all talking about exactly? I think I vaguely remember.

I have a feeling it's also impacted by your age which may skew things if you are looking at how often when how long been married.

yep, at 6 years of marriage I was 25 with a six year old son - once a day at least

15 years, and I try to get out of it. Pretending sleeping usually works. But that runs into a problem cause I can't get up and fly. "I don't feel good"(while groaning) works, but that is like a once a month mulligan(can't go to well too often). If you use"just checking my email before I go to bed" and she catches you flying you won't be able to get out of it.

Nineteen years of marriage, two children... at least a couple of times a week... sometimes more.

At four years... no children... 10-15 times a week.

Well after 20 yrs we both still like to have sex everyday.

Would also LIKE to be rich, would LIKE to be in shape, would LIKE to be better looking(just her I'm fine ), would LIKE to be younger.
