Hanging by finger nails...

God I love it.

The hunched down nose to the moniter thing. Why I love the fur.

Come in to an enemy base with a little altitude with smash. Now for a picker in a Pony it's mealtime....

I have a mental block with that. If I have a nikky D2 below me I'm gonna kill it..

Problem is by doing that the 2 guys at my original co-alt have an in. What follows is killin the nikky and turning into the threats and going for speed..

Another con presents himself just to the left, an La7. I pull hard and kill him..

That puts me 90 degrees off on where I want to go and a call for the conga line is announced.

To the sound of reggie they all line up as is requested and I have 8 or 10 concentrating on me..

My hair bursts into flames...

With smoke filling the cockpit I'm at full EMERGENCY  power headed for the goodguys...

Jeez I hope there are goodguys..

Pulllleeeeeeez let there be goodguys...

Have a 190, 51 and La7 in the PACK that is in pursuit. The time frame is critical..

2.1 with a loooong way to go. Fuel is at an 1/8, been on WEP for awhile...

Dicey..

I have begun to hunch..

Not a full hunch yet mind you, but I feel it in my neck... I  have become "lower"

I'm on the deck, doing alieron rolls when hitting the crest to stay low...

190 and La7 are at 1.5..

Dots at my 12..

The field IS NOT CLOSE ENOUGH..

Wep kicks off.........................

The pack is still there, the 190, and Lag are at 1.2..

I can't turn back, the pack is doing the mackaranna. I'll be meat if I reverse...

I keep hitting WEP and it does it's blurp thing and it's back off.....

Ever notice even though it doesn't stay on, you keep hitting it anyway ???

I've also noticed when the WEP goes, the hunch becomes a FULL HUNCH. Were talking low now..No messing around, chin jutted above the keyboard, face within inches of the moniter..

The conga line has decided to quit dancing. The 190 and Lag still want to play and the tracers start..

A couple of hits....

Fuel is a bump above empty, and...my WEP finger hurts from abuse..

Dot's at 12 turn into goodguy icons. A familier face is seen above my plight..

"Maddog if you would be so kind, could you save me here ??"

"Well jeez poop there is only two of them..."

God I love this game :)

Sometimes I get caught in those situations where you are alone dodging four or five enemy aircraft all intent on killing you.  But then there are those times where I reap the reawards of being on the side with the numbers.  It's this latter situation that calms me down about how "unfair" the former situation was.  It also certainly keeps things from being boring.

I still remember the time I was in an F4U-1 on the deck being chased by an LA7 and I get a glimmer of hope when I see a friendly dot on the map and head towards it...only to find out it's a Lancaster!   After an attempt at a valiant fight, I stalled the wing and augered into the ground the loser.
