And when US arms companies were selling weapons to Saddam in the 80s to prop up his clearly repressive regime, that was all fine and dandy?
Of course, US companies can do no wrong. Even when it comes to selling chemical and biological weapons to patently tyrranical leaders of totalitarian Middle Eastern states.
I find this sudden deep sympathy with the Iraqi people hilarious. As if suddenly we're discovered they were being repressed, and if suddenly the weapons we (and I include the UK) sold in the 80s are irrelevant.
He wasn't a nice guy back then, either.
