I answered a question about the road glare and it got me thinking. I noticed from a higher altitude many void or flat objects give off a reflective light. One example is Lava,Roads,snowcap,lake1, and field/vf voids, they seem to have a reflective shine at high alts but it does go away at lower altitudes, while the default tiles themselves do not. Which would lead me to believe it is hard coded into the objects. Which leads me to my question, could this reflective quality be given to just the water tile to simulate a reflective hard surface?
