i had a relationship like that once...luckily she was hit by a beer truck.  :D

the female carbon based life form i'm seeing now...and have been for almost four years...actually ENCOURAGES me to play the game as much as i want!  she says it's because i haven't been taking my piper up that much lately due to work/time constraints, but i think it's really because when i'm flying online, she can watch the chick flicks she gets all the time.  :D

she has a sister...

My wife didn't understand it at first.

Then her friends husbands started drinking all the time, another had an affair, others are gone and the wife has NO idea where he is.

Me I'm just in the other room with my headset on talking to some guys in California, texas, florida etc.

She knows exactly where I'm at. Evenings I try not to fly for more than 2 hours at a spell. Give her equal billing and she's happy.

If thats not enough remind em that an evening at the bar can run 30$ easily, the bartender will NOT call you to the phone and you'll be sober when you come to bed not drunk & stinky.

If she doesn't get the point lose her,
she really isn't right for you.

My ex wife didn't like flying.  I traded her in on a faster PC so I could get improved frame rates.  Best deal I've made to date.

Is this a common AH relationship side effect?  She feels there is something deeply wrong within me that I would want to stay on the game for four straight hours.  I didn't have the heart to tell her that 4 hours is nothin.

My honey likes me to fly, it takes my mind of sex till she can claim
asleep. ;)   :p
I think its a security thing with her myself.
If yall aint even married yet she needs much more attention
than that. What the hell you thinking man?

Better watch out for "Jody"
:cool

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this syndrome!  I just make it a point to spend one quality evening a week with the wife and the rest of the week online.  So, when you don't see me online, that's quality evening night!  I know that's a lot, but what else am I to do?

I find it helps to wash the dishes before going online.

pleased to say that I have recently started seeing this young lady, for a start we are both 30, both like computers (she works in IT, me as a freelance 3d artist and I get Tues and wed evenings to my self as shes at her programming course as shes learning 'C'.

But most Important she loves computer games.

I didn't realise that there were such things as attractive females that would be into this stuff, she puts it down to the fact that when she was young her mum was a hippy and they had no TV or technology, which is why shes into it now.

met her at a club and our conversations included stuff like, " what motherboard do you have", "what games your favourite?" etc  was very very freaky as normally I have a rule that I must not talk about Computers or surfing (water/waves type), just clicked.

all I can say is Bliss.....  :D

search and you shall find, well maybe 1 every 30 years or so :D

I'm engaged and will be married may 16th....My Fiance (nice word huh?) has no problem with my air time...she remembers when I was working 18 hr days as an audio engineer and would drink for hours at the end of a long 2 or 3 day shift...and she remembers me being gone for months on tour. Most of all I think she sees alot of my friends are out in bars and strip joints (or gay like Narsus) and she has decided...better home and happy then out and in trouble.

To keep things fair...I try not to fly currently on the days I get to see her (fri-mon) and if I do...I make sure I give her all the details...each auger, bail, ack hit, and bounce. Sometimes I sneak in a story about how I fly better then Drex and how Lazs asks me for h2h advice...or how I shot down KBall, Leviathan and Fester in one sortie while low on fuel and ammo and missing an elevator.

Either that....or ....its the fact that I wrap her in gaffers tape and beat her within an inch of her life if she complains...

who knows...its a mystery

You'd be amazed at how many wives will get VERY upset at their men playing Aces high for 3-4 hours a night......but of course they think nothing of plopping down in front of the Television from 7-11 each and every night.

sigh

Im just not sure why there is such a double standard....its ok to sit and watch meaningless drivel (in my experiences, the wives watch sit coms and the like...not educational stuff like WIngs channel or history channel).......but you taking an active role in a social game are the "one with a problem"

ah well
