I've written tech support about selecting irq on the card.

I've moved it to 3 different slots and selected 5 but when the computer boots you can see it list the PCI devices with the sound card first and set on Irq 11.

post the model #/info on the sound card and see what i can find ...

this is after you are going into the bios and telling it what irq to assign to what pci slot?

Turtle Beach Santa Cruz

Yes, after setting and saving the bios on boot up it lists the Sound Card in the PCI devices and shows it on IRQ 11.

Thanks.

in your bios is there an options for "PnP OS" Yes/No.

If there is, and its set to Yes, XP & 2000 love to slam all devices on the same IRQ. Set it to no and if possible select the option to clear PNP settings next boot. This option is usualy around the same area as the PnP OS section.

Running 98SE here.

Does this still apply?

found a pdf manual here:

http://ftp://ftp.voyetra.com/pub/tbs/santacru/scruzman.pdf

Is this your sound card?
It states the IRQ is allocated during the software setup of the card. Does that make sense? Can you rerun the setup program?

other download info/drivers here:
http://www.turtlebeach.com/site/kb_ftp/585ftp.asp

Let you know if I find anything else..

If you have PnP OS on you can try it off, you can always turn it back on...

My set up has Graphics and sound sharing with (16 & 18)  "PCI to USB Open Host Contrioller" and" PCI to USB enhanced host controller B1"

I thought this was normal??
