Thank you for creating the new suicide CV captain. Your use of the CV has produced the wannabe. They will send a CV to closest shoreline airfield just to lure out the CV sinkers. They don't care if they get sunk as long as they get kills in the 5 inch gun. I just witnessed such a display. There were enmy aircraft by the dozen and friendly could barely get off the CV. Instead of moving the CV to prevent it from getting sunk, it stayed close to shore until sunk by the many b17's, p38's, ju88's, and many others. Does being in the 5 inch gun increase rank or something? The person was ranked 97th, so getting command of the CV was impossible. This is not a knock on you because you capture fields, man the 16 in guns, and organise missions. But you have created "Frankenstien".

This is my whine I reserved from an earlier post,ty.;)

sounds a bit selfish on the part of the CV controller/gunner but theres nothing we can do apart from gain a better rank and take it away.

Generally people dont use the CV as it should be used though. Its all part of the game.We are allowed to play exactly as we like and it seems most dont play with the attitude of mimicking WW2 behaviour. You cant blame people for seeking instant gratification rather than using methods that make tactical sense.

what can we do? hes just playing how he enjoys it. Like I said if you want it stopped you gotta work on rank.

I used a cv once on this map. I took command just long enough to takeoff.

The guy you are referring to considers himself a strategist yet you see how he does. He even tells people he is going to turn the cv everytime a plane comes near and refuses to keep the thing straight. Some people are incapable of learning. Go figure.

No sixpence this guy doesnt do anything the way I do. Enjoy it while you can.

Your kinda mean and stuff Voss. This guy might be having fun and junk, yet you are saying bad things about him. Jeepers.

You all should have played CandyLand. I just dug the toejam out of that game when I was 5.

Every child's first game, CANDY LAND is a colorful way for a preschooler to experience the joy of game play. The game teaches color recognition and matching while reinforcing the lesson of taking turns and being a gracious winner or loser. You will love to see the smile on a young person's face as they travel through CANDY LAND.

Play nice or don't whine at all..and whatever...sheesh.

What I saw was basically the the CV being used as a disposable(spell?) gun platform with no regard to save it. I get into the 5 inch gun all the time, but I will try to steer it out of harms way if there is no support. Being in the CV is good, it needs a captain. But to just bring a CV to it's death to get a few 5 inch gun kills seems crazy.

We took VH56 with a CV(by sneaking it in,then attacking vh under dar minutes b4 ltv's were in launching distance), then moved on with vehicles and captured 72 with the CV well offshore in support. We became outnumbered so we tried like madmen to get the CV out sea. They eventually sank it north of 56. But we didn't just circle it in the channel between 55 and 72.We did try to save it. to those who helped capture 72, it forced the bish to send pilots south, helping the cause up north, well done, and thnx for your help.

On the subject, alot of CV's getting sunk by shore batteries. Those should be top priority. I use this as an order of battle-vehicle hanger, shore batteries, de-ack.

BTW, A72's shore battery perched way up high overlooking channel.

P.S.  Sorry for the whine.

BTW, I tried candyland. I got pissed and beat my brother with the board.

Also, Voss, not a knock on you. I've seen you in CV's in other maps(alot) and I think most think you are just manning the 5 inch gun. And you're not. You're jumping to the 16 inch guns, organising attacks, turning the CV, basically doing things to keep the CV afloat. Not just getting it close to an airfield and getting as many kills as you can b4 the CV sinks.

Yeah I wont outline the exact procedure but when it works out its the best fight AH has to offer bar none. There are a few guys without which this almost never happens. Redreo Hammy and Steve believe it or not and yes there are others too.

I've seen Voss first hand manage CVs to great advantage in capturing enemy bases. I only wish more Knits were half as good at commanding a task force as Voss. I don't doubt he has used them to pad his score, but it was likely when the CV had little strategic value.

I've often seen someone sail a CV way off into enemy territory, where no operations were taking place, then leaving it undefended (perhaps the work of a spy). If it was needed back home, enticing the enemy to sink it would be the fastest way to return it to port.

You can ignore these morons just like I do. MAW helped pad my score really good last tour. BGB loves to sink cvs and I loved killing him. In fact, killing as many as 11 MAW in one sortie as they tried to sink our cv. So when BGB says I suck what he really means is I suck because I killed him too much.

BTW BGB, I still have film of you missing two passes and finally dive bombing the cv with a B17. New definition for suck I suppose.

MAW consist of five squads last month in the GPreddy versus MAW it ended up 157:7. Now I know why these morons moo so much. Killing them is a giant milkrun.

Yeah. I suck.
