LOL bounder! Good one!

I've always had 6 weeks water, food, and fuel(generator) since I was married simply because we live 25 miles from a volcano and considering I was in the Pacific Northwest when St. Helens erupted, it only makes sense to be well prepared in the event of a diaster such as an earthquake or such.

Good thing for this latest world crisis though, maybe a few more folks will do what glock is doing so the US doesn't have to come bail yer tulips out everytime you have a natural diaster. ;)

Rip, we got a dusting in Seattle when the MT blew it's top..the cars got a little dirty but we were lucky and didn't get it like Eastern WA with the nuclear winter conditions!

my survival kit has the requisit several cases of bottled water, a case of MRE and a several sacks of canned food. not to mention all flavors of ammo for the guns.

It always amazes me how helpless people get when they have to endure life with no power ..the news had a blackout in one neighborhood and the people were flipping out cause they couldn't use their microwaves or tvs.. what would happen to these people if there were a monster earthquake or alien invasion.

Yep!  I have a generator and if I conserve the fuel long enough I could get 6 weeks out of it, but I assume that it would be run 6 hours a day, so thats about 1 month of power that I'm prepared for.

I have a variety of food stuffs, 2 cases of MRE's, canned food, water, dry stuffs, and alot of first aid stuff (wifes a nurse ;) )

One can never be TOO prepared.

Thats why I have "Multiple Food Source" type planning ;)

You're forcing me to quote my father:

"If you're hungry enough, you'll eat boot leather..."

Incidently, I figure that if I was a terrorist, the best way to affect everyone and create panic is some sort of bio-terrorism on the food industry, farms, agriculture.

yup..like an attack on public foods..open markets, salad bars, farmed stuff..and then people would be freaked out to eat stuff. putting toxins in the water supply is really too tough to affect a large number of people..

some years back some group put botulism or e coli in an Oregon salad bar chain and got lots of people sick.. Capt A, you would know more about this Oregon story.

Oh, I forgot, ammunition for both wild game to supplement the food (we have plenty of it out where I live) and to keep the begging neighbors away who did not prepare. :D

hahaha. no chit.. many of my friends call me nuts for having lots food/guns/supplies...I tell them to speak loudly and clearly when approching my door in an emergency as I have a hard time hearing while wearing a gas mask and holding a battle rifle.
