I wish to make a test, a poll (Yeah Toad you are not the only one :p ;) )

Try to exclude the different opinions about why, where, how about this upcoming war.

I wish to know what you posters here think about the civvies that are going to lose their life, the collateral damage.

a) they deserved it, I am Happy they die.

b) The only good raghead it's a dead one.

c) they deserved it, but it's sad we have to kill them.

d) it's the necessary toll to pay for a war to the evil Saddumb.

e) I hope we can reduce as much as possible the losses but we have to do it.

f) Every innocent died will be on our guilt. (?? try to translate this one:" Ogni innocente resterà sulla nostra coscienza")

g) I want my BigMac and a beer

Ok, discard option g), was flaming :) just did'nt resist. :D

ps.  I was just wondering. I know some of you are veterans, others cops, or maybe some where just in the wrong place at the wrong time or hung out with the wrong crowd in their youth.  but I would be interested to know how many of those with the 'kill them now' mentality have ever watched someone die.

  I'm not talking about the old or sick losing their fight as life slips through their fingers.  sometimes that kind is almost a relief because they finaly get a rest.

 I'm speaking of the ripped, torn, blood every where, grown men crying for their momma type of death.   speaking only for myself it kinda changes a guy.

IMO if you're gonna kill you better make sure of a few things.  because you can't say sorry and take it back, dead lasts a long time.
1. is it necessary.
2. is it just.
3. is it the best way to deal with the issue
4. do you have the right target.
5. are you absolutly fluff'n sure of 1-4

personally I know I don't have all the info available on the subject. but with the info I do have I'm having a bit of trouble with #5

Apathy you have a very apt handle. The problem is there is no other way to make sure they stop their own aggression. I do ont want another WTC debacle and I guarantee our forces will be a HELL of a lot more selective than the terrorists have been.
