Gents it appears the problem is my rudder pedals after all. They worked long enough this morning for me to try the demo of IL-2, and then download the latest AH version and create a new account, but when I got in a plane and tried to take off, I'd lost rudder control again. This time when I hooked them up to a spare joystick, they weren't recognized at all.
I took them apart to check the pot, and I'm getting a low reading of 11.6K ohms and a high of 109K ohms. Midpoint is 58.7K. Do these values seem reasonable?
Also, in checking the cable, I find no continuity on the white hookup wire. The red wire is configured to pin 9 on the joystick plug - can anyone tell me what pin the white wire should be connected to? Maybe I just have to replace the plug and cable?
Seems strange to me that the cable would give out - it doesn't appear damaged in any way.
Thanks for any help! I was so close to getting airborn again!
