Hammer02:
I have the same problem and I don't know if it's only MY ARENA when I am hosting, or if it's general to all H2H arenas. I've seen you in my arena (Solomon7). Are you having troubles only there? or elsewhere too?
I've already asked a question like this in this forum a few days ago, and got no answers.
Here's my situation:
I have 2 computers, 2 ISPs, and 2 accounts.
I can host from either computer on my LAN, and AH voice works fine there twixt my two systems in "LAN H2H" mode.
I can use either computer in the Main arena and AH voice works fine there. I can easily speak to anybody I want to reach in the Main arena from either computer, or from both during the same session. I hear everybody, everybody hears me. I can talk between my two computers in the main arena without problems.
When I host on the Internet, I can use AH voice to talk to myself only (tuned to "PBDY"). From my other machine (the one NOT hosting), I can not even talk to myself by AH voice. Nobody has ever acknowledged hearing anything from me in AH voice when I host H2H.
I can't get voice to work at all between my two computers when I am using one to host across the Internet.
I host from behind a Netgear firewall router which I have set up in two different ways (identical problems with AH voice in both setups):
1 of 2: UDP ports 2000 - 4999 enabled to host machine, and
2 of 2: All ports wide open to host machine.
I suspect AH voice has been disabled for free H2H, but perhaps I am missing something... ????
This is a change. Several months ago I was using H2H voice on a regular basis in the free arenas, but I couldn't host back then due to firewall restrictsions that I've recently overcome.
So, I am still wondering if it's something unique and broken in my hosting situation, or if there is some new bug or new policy restriction.
Anybody with answers?
Regards,
Peabody
