Reguardless if they are avoiding the UN. It would be very interesting.

Might not be fair. I believe Saddam may have an unintended unfair advantage.

He probably speaks English better than GWBj.

Thunderdome.

Two go in....one comes out.

I think Dubya can take him.

Either way, it'd make great CNN.

W would probably lose the "shootin' a rifle aimlessly into the air" competition" though.

Didn't the Russians take out one of the Chechen leaders with a air to surface missle that was homing in on a satillite phone link?

That would be ok.

I wouldn't like to bet against Saddam in a head to head discussion. He's an unknown quantity... unlike Dubya. ;) Although one of the funniest things I've seen in years was the Gore v Bush debate in which Gore tried to be all menacing and sinister by 'invading the personal space' of Bush. That made me laugh out loud.

A thunderdome fight wouldn't be fair. Saddam's weapon of choice would be an acid bath and 50,000 secret police - that's a pretty big dome requirement. OTOH, Bush would probably not turn up and claim that he had 'forgotten the date of the bout or something'. :D

Bush has Cheney, and that dude has in intimidation factor of like 100. He's like the the wrestler that comes in unnanounced and way-lays an opponent at the interview.

Advantage: GW

Do any of you understand the psychological reason SD asked for a debate?  Its very simple...as a dictator, you now can say to your people via the Gov't controlled press "See! He won't even debate the Great Ruler...ME!"
