Nice job!  I like the smoke effects around the guns.  That's a skill I haven't mastered. Nice touch.

easy work with a good airbrush and properly thinned paint gofaster.  Problem is the investment:)

I prefer to use pastels/chalk for this.  It works great for gun residue and exhaust stains.

You can buy a black magic mask or make one from several matierial. best low tech solution is small pieces of tape.

I haven't tried pastels yet.  I read and see articals where folks have obtained great results using this method though. I need to try it myself. Exclusively i have used an airbrush to do this up till now.

Phenomenal job yasya.  The weathering looks great.  Just enough without being overdone.

If I ever actually FINISH any of the coupla dozen models I've got in progress I'll post some pics. :)

Since I use a Paasche H (single action) and have limited skills concerning magical airbrushing, I decided to try out the pastels a few models back.  I grabbed a set that comes with about 10 colors (grays, black, white, browns and other earth tones) and went to town on an F6F.  Heheh, I overdid it a bit, but got some decent results.  I then tried it on the SBD-3 I was making, greatly toned down, and it worked great.  I used just a bit on the nose guns and some light exhaust staining.  I like the way it turned out.

Now, I just have to master the panel lines.  Debating about using a wash versus a drafting pen/pencil or even pre-shading.  One of these days, I will be satisfied with the results I get.

I been workin on game too long, first thing that pops into my head is a computer model! lol.
Soon I'll start wondering how world can be so high poly without lag lol.

Very nice job there! I use to make a few models a long time ago, but I don't think any of them are even in one peice now, if I could even find them. lol
