I just had about the bigest laugh Ive had in ages from a TV program title.

Yesterday on the Discovery channel:

1:00pm-2:00pm
Wings at War.  The P-38 lightning, the ultimate World War II Jet Fighter.

Needless to say, theres somebody there with a little less knowlege than they need to have writting show promos

Discovery channel rules, my only complaint is that they have a very limited number of programs. It seems like there is only around 20 or so, I cant count the number Ive times ive seen the one on the Hindenburg, or the one on VTOL history, the latest rerun-run-run-run is the one thats called wings of the crown and its about the "dambusters" from England. These shows rock but I wish there was more different ones.

Discovery Wings needs programming...sell them your Aces High films or something.  Everyday at lunch, I flip it on at lunch time hoping something other than "Centinnel of Flight" or "Wings of France" isn't on....

If you have Dish network, wander over to 168 (TNN) at 2pm and catch the A Team

They had a documentary on the F-86 where they kept mentioning the armament:  6x50mm machine guns.

Yeah Discovery wings is great!!!  For the first two weeks then it is rerun hell.

It's too bad.  I would like to see more general aviation as well as more war bird stuff.

They need a real program director, someone who actually is interested in flying.
