Checksix, even if iEN folds before this Con occurs, the kind of guys that go to the Con will still be friends and will still be flying together somewhere.

I'm going to the AH con for sure, and will probably go to the WPC Con because it's in Dayton (I was born there).

Trolls aren't meant to give offense...unless you are a sucker.

I'll still be here in October. And Dayton will be a blast! It will be money well spent because its the people.

BTW...you putting money on this? eagl can be our designee to hold the funds. What do you say?

While I do not think that WarBirds will be folded and have its servers turned off in October, Eagl has a good point. This Con is NOT a Con of a specific gaming platform. It is open to AH, WWIIOnline, Target Korea and the others. We are going to have a Full T-1 (1.5M) Line and if your computer just happens to point to a Quake server, Half-Life server, AH server or what ever, so what? As it has been said, the Con is about the people... game play is just the decoration on the frosting of the cake.
We hope that any who can make it will, those that have gone to Cons before will tell you that they are very fun. This will be no different.

An online sim company folding will not make it a bust.

ok... i get it now.  It's not a ien WB CON but a virtual flight sim CON.  That makes sense and is a great idea! S!

if AH, WWIIOL and Target Korea will be there, then it could be a lot of fun.

sorry worr... haven't the heart to take your money. you'll need it for the CON.

ien is deader than a doornail by then, especially with owners like HS telling us how he great he is all the time.

maybe someone will buy ien by then, but doubt it.  It would be pretty dumb to buy a game license for a sim that doesn't even own the engine that runs it.

That was said in the original post of this thread.

<<<"iEN is not sponsoring this>>>"

<<<"This is strictly a con by players for players">>>

Hope lots of you can make it, going to be a blast. Great place to host such an event. Looking forward to meeting those of you who are thinking about attending.

You probably don't get many guests at your place checksix, do you?  'cause from what it sounds like you sure don't know how to treat them.
Why don't you show a little respect and not spit into someones face when they offer something like this to the community ?

<S>Worr et all !

I think having all sims together under one roof is truly a great idea !

I play both btw

Thanks guys.

But I could use the money, really. I'm serious. Or were you just being perjoritive?

FWIW...we will be working with AH people to put some AH events together. I have a couple offers alraedy. However, if AH has its own con at the same time in no way are we going to compete with that.

The money is being put up by players...and first and foremost the committee. The risk is ours to take...but the joy is yours to experience.

you must be into some weird form of on-line masochism to want to bet anything.

$574 thousand sales in 3 months.

would be a lonely time waitin for iEN to show up

.... glad you invited the other online outfits.
