I can understand the Strat players frustration at poorly co-ordinated play. At the same time, I'm usually just up for a quick flight, and I thouroughly enjoy the incompetance shown in base capture some times, as it leads to extended furballs.
I've always viewed melee arenas as practise arenas, "full real" training arenas, if you will. It's unrealistic to expect so many people "just logging on for their fix" to co-ordinate thier efforts for some greater plan.
That's why I'm a furballing scenario junky. Scenario's are the time when one can totaly expect to take part in a structured and co-ordinated team effort, with clearly defined roles (never a need to squelch ch 1.), and it's where all the skills so duly honed in the arenas are put to the test.
Anything else is just practise, as some fat guy used to say.
