No doubt about it.
Compared to US infantry the Brits are pretty good.
They are both crap compared to Canadian Infantry.
But if you cant get Canadians..the Brits are good to have along.

now if you US guys would agree to widen the english channel by 50 miles or so we can ALL avoid the french ;)

thanks guys and your welcome but dont forget the other countries too, Polish armed forces are there too and they are also great fighters. Read about their attack on Monte Casino in WW2.

If Canada had promised, we would be there.
We are sending 1000 back to Afganistan right now.
If the US doesnt want them they should let us know.

Wonder if the 101st would like some more canadian Infantry help
Quote
During Operation Anaconda, Canadian snipers killed enemy fighters while defending U.S. troops that were under fire. “As the American battalion was moving down the ridge and dealing with the Taliban and al-Qaeda fighters that they were encountering, the snipers were there to provide defensive capability. As they were moving forward, they would encounter various positions in which mortars were being fired at them and at the Americans and they were able to take out some of these positions and protect the Americans as they were continuing towards their final objective,” he added. “Their skills are credited with likely having saved many Allied lives.”

Recomended 4 of my country men for Bronze stars after just one engagment. In which the canadians were almost killed by an AH 64 btw.

Blame your diplomacy for the fact there are no Canadians in this gulf war.

"When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."

Typifies the British in Arms. ;)

I was pretty sure this was from Winnie.. and it turns out it is.. as well as these lil snippets.

"There is nothing so pleasing as to be shot at by one’s enemy without result."

"Battles are won by slaughter and maneuver. The greater the general, the more he contributes in maneuver, the less he demands in slaughter."

"It is more agreeable to have the power to give than to receive."

"An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last."

"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."

"The Americans will always do the right thing... After they've exhausted all the alternatives. "

A hell of a guy.

Britons!
The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

...at home, or abroad.

I don't think the salute to the Brits was meant as a slam in any way or lack of appreciation for any other country who is our ally and helping us in this.

we appreciate all of them.

I did not mean this as a slam to any other country that was participating.   I meant that, as an American, that I appreciated the help from the Brits and was very pleased at how well our respective troops integrated and at how well the Brits were fighting.
