Good idea to delete it.  I regettably watched it once.  One of the few images I have ever seen that physically sickened me.  Unfortunately you can't "unsee" stuff like that.  :(

What offends me is that Euro/Am human rights freaks who think that animals doing such things have to be treated as humans.

The same things Russian Army have done in Chechnya can now be seen on Euronews, and it's OK... And that miserable loosers were teaching Russians how to wage war. All I can say is that responsibility for the lives of 4500 Russian servicemen lost in Chechnya last year lays on that prettythangholes.

After that ridiculous accusations in breaking UN embargos, I think my country show who sponsored Chechen terrorism. Anti-terrorist alliance was doomed from the very start because some smart guys across the ocean wanted complete Russian support, meanwhile giving aid and consulting Chechens.

Is chechnya right now still fighting for sovereignty?

Ahhh, so when it happens to you, they are animals, but when it happens to the US, we are criminals.

Why not just leave them alone?  Get out of their country.

i kinda awed at a russian military that can lose 4,500 men a year in a province they already occupy..

kinda explains the miffed tone to pravda lately. how can we can invade a 'hostile' country, cut through half of iraq in two weeks and control over 1/3 of it and lose less than 50?

methinks russian military leadership has... ummm... issues.

BGBMAW--

If those were the videos I think they are, based on people's reactions (I didn't get to this thread before link was edited out), then:

The videos are of prisoner Russian Army soldiers being murdered by Chechen rebels.  Those videos are extremely graphic, involving decapitation with a basic combat knife.   I think in at least one of the videos the Chechens beat up the helpless bound Russian soldier before cutting his throat then use his severed head as a kickball.  It's the sort of stuff that you WILL NOT forget once you see it.

Those videos have been floating around the Internet for several years now.

Far from taking the link down, I think everybody should have to watch it.  It gives a much better idea of what war is and why terrorists ARE terrorists, than anything the sanitized, G-rated evening news shows.

Yes their (Russian/Soviet) military leadership has issues. they still think that "strenght in numbers" will win the war like in WWII but their population is now a puny 140million (almost equal to that of japan). Soviet/Russia may have good military hardware that is supperior than that of USA but their tactics are primitive. Afghanistan and Chechnya shows us how their leadership planing is primitive. They need change in the military to prevent more casualties.

O yes, i remembered last year when the fully loaded troops (120) in the Mi-26 chopper was shot down by chechen rebels using RPGs. All of them are perished.

it's worse than just a rotten plan.. it's a rotten service.. russian soldiers are conscripts.. un paid mostly. they forage and rape and loot.. they are despised by the locals.

no amount of 'planning' can save that army. either russia turns chechnya over to the chechens and gets the hell outta there (like we're gonna do in iraq) or they will continue to be slaughtered to the tune of 5k a year.

jeeez 5K being killed per year in a village is an outrage!!!!. i bet ya for $1 that if 5K coalition forces are being killed in baghdad every year, US citizens will protest for a pull-out in iraq unless if they're so commited for their oil.

so how many iraqis (civilian and coalition casualties) per gallon (year)? the answer is.......... lets hope we dont have to fill the whole bottle with it
