I care.
Those two 1945 era pacific planes (f4u-1c and n1k) do not belong in the arena IMHO with the euro planeset.
Myself, i don't like latewar pac stuff. I love the -42 and -43 era stuff tho (lets see some p38-f, f4f, f6f, f4u-1a, zeke, tony, p40 etcera)
I don't like all this i wanna fly the uberest thing players like the c hog and nik drivers out there.
I have no problem with any euro plane in the game in the 1.04 FM, i think they are all pretty fair and can excel in the right hands. All the euro planes have their strengths and weaknesses versus each other. Its the current late war pac planes that throw everything off because matchups like
f4u-1c versus p47
N1k versus c.205
f4u-1c versus fw 190
are situations where 1 planes hold ALL (or nearly so) the cards so they should IMHO be perked. The thing is that planes are put in without their contemporaries. the way I see it, the N1k and the f4u-1c are pretty much contemporary, and versus each other they each have strenths and weaknesses. But versus other planes this is not the case.
In the euro planeset, things work out alot better. Matchups like
109g10 versus p51d (contemporary)
p47 vs fw-190a8 (contemporary)
109 g2 or c.205 or fw190-a5 versus spit 9 (contemporary)
all these matchups above are fun matchups, each plane has strengths and weaknesses. same with nik versus f4u-1c, both have strengths and weaknesses versus each other. Its just stuff like the fact that the best b-17 kiler in the game isn't the 190 bothers me.
