Never new they made a bravo two zero movie.

"The odd angry shot" has not been mentioned. Pretty good Ausie nam film.

Along those lines.
Galipoly and the boar war one as well..

But I am watching Band Of Brothers through for the second time. And the quality and authenticity of it has driven most predecessors from my mind.

5.  The Battle of Britain

Honourable mentions:

Apocalypse Now
The Thin Red Line
Enemy at the Gates
The Odd Angry Shot
Gallipoli
633 Sqd
Band of Brothers (even tho its a mini series)
The Rats of Tobruk
Das Boot
The Hunters
The Dambusters
Zulu

1.  Das Boot  Probably the best war movie ever, imo ;)

2.  Saving Private Ryan  Don't think there is a film like it that's so graphic (at the beginning)

3.  Dr. Strangelove  Cold War, funny yet cynical

4.  Kellys Heroes  Funny as hell.  Good 'ole Oddball

5.  Dambusters  Saw it again recently, forgot just how good it was!

Also:

Angels 1 5 - Very good film that not a lot of people have heard about.

All Quiet On The Western Front

Gallipoli

Memphis Belle
NEXX

There was some other movie I like too.  I don't quite remember the name.  I think it is "Hell in the Pacific" or something like that.  It is has Lee Marvin and Toshiro Mifune (I think thats his name) as an American and a Japanese soldier stuck on an island.  Pretty good movie, at least IMO.

Wow, Cherlie... had no idea they made this into a movie.

Bravo Two Zero on Amazon.com

It was an amazing book. From the reviews, it sounds like the BBC did a great job bringing it to the screen.

Thanks for the tip!
