ROFL!!... I lived down the road from a Turkey farm when I was a kid.  The sound is one thing but woooweee the stink'll REALLY get ya when the wind is just right.  (and yes, they are dumb enough to drown in the rain...).

When I was a student helicopter pilot, we were told to avoid low flight over turkey farms, because the turkeys would all panic, stampede into a corner, and smother each other to death.
