Where is the Night?
« Reply #30 on: September 14, 2000, 10:40:00 AM »
Have not had the time to be much online after the 1.04 release.
But...

If the night is gone, BRING IT BACK, and as the whiners     above says, make it last longer.

That was also one of the parts I enjoyed the most in 1.03, when it became dusk and later night, even if I did not see it much.(The days where to long)

PS. Who the f*** needs combat trim ?
I shure dont, I am a poor pilot anyway

You smell that? Do you smell that?
Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
The smell, you know that gasoline smell, smelled like victory.

Oh Please bring back the night!!!!!Yeah, I usually do worse at night then in the day in AH, but it is just SOOOO Coool. Oh BTW, Could you add the bloody paw print to the moon when the DD are needed in the arena? JUST KIDDING!!!

I really thought night time was great! The only problem I had with it was the brightness of the cockpits. But that is just one small problem and no reason to remove the night. So, HT, a really great reply to this thread would be, `We just removed the Night until we fix some bugs and add some thunderstorms at night::WHY? Because it would look so cool!!::: and....'. Well, I can dream. But if anyone could pull that off it's HTC. Of course, how about just adding some stars in that night sky? Whatever you do, just know that night time was too cool to remove.

Sure, they throw in a nice moon but ditch the darkness! On top of that they throw in a Lancaster which kicks butt for night raids. Plus a Ju-88 painted REALLY dark green. Is it just me or was HTC a little hypocritical here?

I sure hope you folks don't think that HTC would add sunrise, sunset, then a moon with 1.04  and then NOT give us night time back when it's ready?

My Friend Westy...
They don't delete planes, to change ammo loads or flight characteristics.  This may have been a mere mistake, but it happened and I, for one, don't want to see it stay away.
My reason, like many others, is that it brings more realism to the SIM and added pleasure to many of us.  Several have stated, it's a good time to sneak vehicles or a JU88 or Lancaaster into an area.
The Moon is very cool.  I have even considered asking for a 100% Night-time arena.    A place to practice night skills.
In WWII, the Allies split up daytime and night time raids.  Once HTC adds the Pacific arena, or whatever it will be called, I cant imagine the fun-  hehehe
<almost gives me a "woody">
I think a one hour block of night is fair. Even, 40 mins of darkness, and 10 mins of dawn and dusk each. Those folks who don't prefer it, can land and rearm, or grab a vehicle, or gun for a buff....  BUT, it is gone, and I want it back too!
That said, landing lights on the planes and lighted buildings or runways.....  <just another idea>  Fire balls will light the night!  hehehe
