Believe it or not I'm not against eating a hamburger for exemple and I'm not alone

.
The american bashing is a speciality of Extreme-left and surprisingly extreme-right in France the average "joe" (Jean in french

) just don't care.
The culture defense is done by some elitist parisian groups trying to preserve their interrest without even trying to make a single effort.
Not that I disagree complelty we have to find some way to preserve our difference but their lobbying is plain boring.
I don't think the average French citizen is very different from the US one (except obvious thinks like language and some background)
I think the attitude of your leadership didnt help alot ethier. Americans felt betrayed. I'm amazed Germany didnt catch more grief.
I was astonished by this feeling as for me it was not a betraying but more the affirmation that we think differently
The actuall outcome of Iraq war look to be quite good ,it's in fact less human costly than a revolution and better it work !
So I was wrong when thinking that was the way to lead to a pan-arabims explosion and a strong nationalistic reaction from the Iraqi.
I will say that my observations/interactions w/the French on this board ie yourself and Frenchy have allways been mostly postive w/some exceptions of course. We simply drift on the far side of the Political spectrum. This is a good thing...balance is needed in the world.
Yep we are different and it's the reason why the link between our country should be rebuild not forgiving our differences.
