Wow... here at work I have Irish, Canadians, Taiwanese, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Spanish, Russian, Lithuanian, British, German, Indian and Romanian all working within 50 feet of my desk.

We call that being American.

I believe you missed my point. I don't have them working by my side. I mean everyone working in their countries, but everyone feeling part of their own countries and part of Europe as well.

Ummmm... you said working as a team.  I didn't misundestand what you said, you changed it midstream.

I know what that is like.  In America we have those cultures without the bounds of the country's border.  I think that is what you fail to understand.

I don't have a problem with French Citizens, nor Europeans in general.  I do have a serious problem with the current attitude of the French government (among others) and the overal sense on this board that most of the European contingent supports many of their views regarding the U.S.  I have a tendancy to see that view as spitefull and unfounded, at the same time listening to most Europeans accusing America as having spitefull and unfounded views of them.  Quite the ironic situation.

So far neither side has been willing to even remotely concede their position, while calling the other arrogant and pigheaded.  Nearest I can tell that translates to mean "I don't have to budge, if you were more mature you'd realize you should be the one budging".  It reminds me of a bunch of teenages girls.

So... I guess discussing it is pretty much a moot point.  The better solution would be to change behavior rather than criticize others for theirs.  Take me for example... I'm a saint.

Kinda funny; really.

When i'm ripping france a new brown eye in a post i do not envison straffo, i envision chirac.

when i'm pounding on a blitz post, it's shroeders bellybutton i'm kicking. (who am i kidding.. blitz needs an bellybutton whuppin)

when i'm tearing up a liberal pencildick on the boards, i envision califonia's diane finestein. when it's a NY sweetheartbag democrat under my guns, it's dinkins...

don't even ask about what i think of when i visualize texacans.

;)

Look if yer from across the pond and yer feeling a lil heat from our BBQ's.. ask yourself.. are you blitz or chirac? is that where yer heads at? if it is, then yer eurotrash.

please dont take personal offence at the shotgun pattern euphenisims we irrevernet amuurricans use, free citizens of enlightened europe!.. , we kick our own dumbocrats, republiqueers, liberals, libertatrian twits, trailertrash racists and treehuggers just as hard and untill very recently, a hell of a lot more often.
The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

Great being from a country that covers a whole continent and is totally surrounded by oceans, only thing on our borders are fish :)

A lot of Euros, Americans, Asians, Africans, Polinesians.....God help us, even New Zealanders here....we are all Aussies though.
Makes it hard to understand why the whole world cant just get along...we do it here, have done for 200 years, so you cant tell me it doesnt work.
Granted, theres only 20 million or so of us, that may have a bit to do with it.
