there were no water pumping stations blown up , saddams butchers shut of the power to the pumps, and sabotaged the power stations. put the blame where it belongs, fool.

So please be more careful how you characterise things, otherwise we might take it the wrong way.

-errrr where did I said you did bomb them back to the stoneage? What I said was "You can bomb one country to the stoneage but there's still people who are ready to blow some stuff up to have a revenge."

And Bush is such an amazingly successfull failure that he single handedly ruined the economy before he was elected.

Heard that one on the radio and have been waiting to use it ;)

I think that all these liberals, democrats and flaky hollywood types have a lot of egg on their face because of their uninformed predictions.

Anyone read the Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy books?  Remember the 3rd Ark that was sent first so that they would have clean telephones, etc when the rest got to the new planet?  Sounds like a pretty smart move to me :D

My guess is that the human shield campaign was effective - the coalition chose not to bomb the protected plants in fear of a huge publicity scandal and a propaganda victory to the Iraqis.

Give it up....you always jump in here and sound off with this tripe....human shields...you can't be that disillusioned.

10bears... you are comparing operation allied force with a regime change that involved 30 million people?   that is laughable.   How many civilians were killed in iraq?   What percent is that of the population?   How many armored divisions did the serbs hide in their cities for the fight?

You say that in baghdad the poor appartment dwellers relied on water being pumped up to them but the in the case of the serbs they were "rich people in high rises"  who got tired of dragging their fat tulips up and down the stairs so they surrendered..  sheesh.

Who cares what clinton thinks or thought... he doesn't do any better in hindsight.   You didn't answer my question... how did he do a better job?   How would the un have done a better job in iraq?   Oh... wait... they were doing sanctions... 12 years of em as I recall... no suffering involved in that eh?  No civilians injured by the ol sadman eh?   He wasn't traing all that many terrorists and ... heck  it's all conjecture that he would share WMD's with his terrorist tennants.

Rude so you think it was just a coincidence that the coalition didn't touch any of the sites that claimed to have shields on them? As opposed to the last conflict where those key structures were hit first, in order to destroy the iraqi's means of communication.

You must realise that if even one shield would have been hit, the media would've been all over the coalition leaders? Your country would have been seen as a murdering agressor.

A week of bad press would have turned the general opinnion in US enough to force them to stop the whole campaign. Trust me.

Siaf give proof where the human shields were during every day of the war.  The vast majority of those eurotrash bastards were back home.

Trust you? A lying troll and USA hating idiot, you gotta be kidding. Why should anyone trust anything you say.  You think the death of one of tyhose hippe pieces of garbage during a time when real American young people were sacrificing thmselves to protect america would stop the war. You are nuts. Those people made fools of themselves when they went to iraq to protect one of the most brutal dictatorships since WW2, they are not heros and they dont give a damn about the iraqi people - they were only out to make a selfish and vain statement against their own governments.

sorry we had to disrupt their water and electricity 10bears, I do think it was a war. if that action saved one US soldier from injury it was worth it.

stupid thread

Well, it is now.

That 70% shows that the talking/embedded heads performed well to the uninformed ignorant masses. Never underestimate their ability to follow like sheep.

I picture GWB driving the World down the road, and turning around to the Arab countries in the back seat, wagging his finger and saying "don't make me pull this car over again!"
