The answer to "when" questions has been and always will be "2 weeks"
You will get no more "when" info from HTC until they are ready to release, so be patient like the rest of us and make do with Q3 as the answer.

I recall seeing the "in two weeks" joke flying Warbirds in the late 90's.  I don't remember seeing it while flying AirWarrior in the early 90's, but that doesn't mean it wasn't around even then.

Part of the "humor" of "in two weeks" is that as over used and old as it is,

people still keep falling for it! :p

Its the same thing as the sheep/sex jokes.  It started out inocently enough, but now it's part of the lexicon.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away Pyro and HiTech used to post on the WarBirds forums quite often (which is not unusualy since they're some of the guys who helped make WarBirds).

They somehow managed to have a string of failed promises where they said the next version would be out in two weeks, but the release dates kept slipping.  Well, you can imagine that if you catch enough flak from the forum people that you will get to the point that you refuse to make promises anymore.

So we all kept saying Two Weeks (TM) whenever anybody ever asked for a time frame for a release.

BTW, AH II will be out in two weeks.

Hans.

'2 weeks' is part of the game developer's lexicon and is widely used.  From the brief time I spent in DOS AW, '2 weeks' was used by the Kesmoids to answer the countless questions of when AW4W would come out.

As for the sheep question, that I'm sure pretty much originated with AW.  Someone had written a long, long time ago about how the war started between Az, Bz and Cz and it had something to do with coveting thy neighbor's sheep.

For any of you ex-AWers that have the AW3 boxed version, if you look in the root directory of the CD-ROM, you'll find an .avi film clip of an army experiment of extracting downed pilots or agents from behind enemy lines.  Instead of using men as the test dummies, they used live sheep.  Pretty funny watching the sheep walking around after they've been 'extracted'.
