Separately, The Sunday Times reported that its own journalists had found documents in the Iraqi foreign ministry that indicate that France gave Saddam Hussein's regime regular reports on its dealings with American officials.

The newspaper said the documents reveal that Paris shared with Baghdad the contents of private transatlantic meetings and diplomatic traffic from Washington.

One document, dated September 25, 2001, from Iraqi foreign minister Naji Sabri to Saddam's palace, was based on a briefing from the French ambassador in Baghdad and covered talks between presidents Jacques Chirac and George W. Bush.

First Russia, now France........

I think it is time to for the french and russains to have an econimic downfall.

None of this should surprise any of you.  The French are heavily economically tied to Iraq, as are the Russians.  THe real shame is that anyone gives either country credibility after their shennanigans.

At least we can look on the bright side, we'll get to see some assinine comments by BLitz, Siaf, Boroda, and Dowding explaining why the US and Britain are so horrible again... LMFAO :D

Shoot away liberals.... shoot away!
I regret doing business with TD Computer Systems.

I find it funny that one journalist is all the time finding these things against the french.

You'd think the coalition forces would have long ago 'evacuated' such files for useful reading...
Also you'd expect lots more journalist to find these than a certain group.

Anything - so far pretty much any report had been called a lie. Others even said they would consider reports from coalition sources to be lies out of hand.

He has no argument. First he implies its one lying journalist finding these documents then he implies its  a "certain group" of lying jouranlists  that are finding them. First it was revealed that the russions were spying for the iraqis, now its revealed that the french were doing the same, and guess what those were the two countries oppoaing us the must - now perhaps we know another reason they didnt want us snooping around in iraq. Same for that $10 mil brit MP. And before any of try to marginalize the imact journalists have its widely ackgnowledged that only 2 clever reporters were largely responsible for the process that brought down the nixon adminstaration. So I wouldnt count them out for these stories.,

As for the press in general I think they have done a fanatastic job on this war. The pro war patriotic real americans* think the press is a bunch of left wing commie defeatist nutjobs while the saddam loving leftist anti-iraqi liberation USA hating degenerates* think the press is a bunch subserviant nazi military controlled robots. So in retrospect I think the press did a fine job.

Now, not finding any WMDs, the terrorist aproach will just make this whole war legitime, wonŽt it?
Not the first time that thereŽs been false papers around, to legimate the attack/war. (Nigerian Nuclear stuff).

I also find that US actully is taking control of the IRAQ oil, to rebuild  the damaged that their bombs made.
All contracts for the build up, will go to US companies.

"To think that US needs Iraqien Oil is a totaly absurd thought"

I also heard that theres Kids in the "warcamp" in Cuba, haveŽnt US broken enough international laws?

For the rest of us:

Note the subtle implied "Amreeka the Great Satan" label with the 666 reference.

Grunherz,

"certain group" pretty much means this one journalists group.
I doubt this reporter knows much of the language, so he will need a translator and he can also have some co-worker(s) with him.

and I did no direct 'lie' accusation there, I simply said I'm bit sceptical about all these serious accusations by some journalist, whos once again "found" documents from an agency.
Theres been no official word yet.
I don't take news papers accusations based on one journalist as any kind of conclusive evidence.

Theres a history full of similar kind of hyberdoles by journalists, which have proven to be false.
Or what was with the hyperdoling of found WMD plants, which later on, in an official announcement, proven to be false.
News agencies just took all out of it without questioning much and even adding their own speculations in their articles, to make it even further interesting read.

So go figure.

Can I apply to be a journalist and then reveal secret a coup against french goverment from some US agency and without further proofs, tell the world about it?-)
Hmm.. yes I could.
But would anyone really believe? no... people wouldn't really believe in it, they aren't expecting such things.

Aren't you guilty of something here, Grunherz?
You're immediatly claiming I said it's an outright lie, when I were just being sceptic.

It is easier being in denial than accept controversary views.

btw. it's an anti-french US right now, it wouldn't surprise me at all if some journalist would make up something about french connections with Iraq - h-ell, that would sell alot!
People are DROOLING over anything anti-french and the news agency would be having only a very small risk of loosing money in it compared to the gains.
How much do you figure the sunday times has gained with this news or the journalist himself?

I remind you once again; news agencies have done it several times and yet again in the past, what would stop them now?
Any source like that, is not worth believing stone hard until theres further proofs/word on it.
