My best 262 kill yet was when my own 262 started dogfighting another 262.
Red 262 was steadily staying at d800 from me, both of us at near 600mph...
Knowing he would run for home, I fired a SINGLE shot in his direction, aiming with my nose raised a bit above the horizon as I planned to start my own 5 degree climb and let him get away...
my plane was not exactly 6 OC behind but rather flying parallel to him, being a hundred feet off to his right (but d800 behind him).
So off goes the single shot (tracer), see it arc sloowly towards him, flying parallel (to the right) of him...
and imagine my amazement when I see the red 262 BANK RIGHT and fly INTO my single tracer.
*PING*
and off goes his tail.
D800+ single shot 262 kill. Got it on film too.

Closest death in 262:
Landing with no engines (fuel out), cons closing in d900 and gaining, had no other choice but to hit the runway at 200mph and pray the krauts installed ABS on the thing.
It was on a field who'se only runway points towards water on one end and the other end is on on a hill that literally slopes UP from the end of the runway at 90 degrees.
262 stopped. Film showed my 262's nosetip INSIDE the mountain.
Worst death in a 262:
Landing a burning engine 262 (about 35 seconds you have before it blows up) on the NDISLES high alt field SE of the map (a17?) landing from NW to SE direction 'cause I had no time to live... plane slowed slowed slowed ... with 50mph to go to complete stop I ran outta runway, slingshot off the cliff, arched slowly downwards, engine exploded in midair. Gawd was I pissed.
