Before I had the pedals I had to use the dead band to improve my accuracy

I do use a twisty...

And Shane i normally have to calibrate stick everytime i log on, but that time i didnt so thats why your seeing that "dirty input".

If you're going to fly for more than a year, save yourself some frustration and get a CH Flightstick Pro (the one with 4 buttons and a hat switch) and pedals.  If you want to get real fancy, get the Fighterstick with CH Pro pedals.

Also, AH supports multi controler inputs.  Sim junkies like me (driving and flying) use the racing pedals as rudder control.

Shane is right btw, the moves are pretty much old hat.  Once you get used to the light sticking, and gunnery it starts to feel like the same old, same old.

One of the best ways to get over the gunnery model learning curve and also to improve your gunnery skills is to turn off your tracers.  The added benefit is that you won't alert your prey if you're making an undetected pass on his six.
