The Two Towers was a good movie, but it was a disappointing departure from Tolkein. I hope the RotK will attempt to stay similar to the books.
Supposedly it's going to follow the book. I agree with ya, it's a good movie if you don't mind the "revisions." I don't mind the little changes (like in FOTR with Arwen rescuing Frodo instead of Glorfindel, I think) or leaving out Tom Bombadil. However, Elves in Helm's Deep? The entire Frodo/Sam/Gollum/Faramir story after Gollum is captured in the pool? The Elves I could almost stomach. The rest was just too much. Faramir wanting the ring, and taking Frodo and Sam with him. Frodo freaking out on Sam to the point of almost running him through with Sting. Nope. didn't like it one bit.

Sheesh, the least he coulda done was not end it when it did and get to Shelob!

Heh, I love Star Wars, but there's not one scene/sequence in all of the series that compares to Moria from FOTR. Not even Yoda going all Jackie Chan on Count Dooku!
