what the hell is going on?
« on: June 17, 2000, 07:37:00 AM »
I've been driving a tank lately since I forgot how to fly but one thing strikes me as assbackwards.

bombs dont kill me even when I'm sitting in the crater yet a spitfire can easily shoot me down with the superhispanos and the HE 30mm seems to do just as well vs armor? WTF?!

1.03 is reversing this yes?

Fester was my in game name until September 2013

Well, I certainly hope so. Pyro did mention that the cannons were going to be re-worked in 1.03. I sure hope bomb lethality is increased, though. As it stands, nothing less than a direct hit causes damage.

Reformulated aircraft cannon characteristics. Fixed some problems in relative 20mm values and the problem with MK 108 armor penetration.

How that will translate in the game is anyone's guess. Nothing about bombs and vehicles unfortunately.

Currently tanks can be tanken out with 20 and 30 mm cannons against the front atmour.

I'm not sure wether that's historically acurate, but it doesn't sound right to me.
