Doubt I'll make it Sir.

Long story...but BF1942 is unplayable on my machine right now.  I had some problems prior to Sunday's HD crash, but now the problems I was having is worse.  I can play AH but not BF1942.  It looks like it may be the video card itself, who freaken knows.  I will do some tesing this weekend with different cards.  It's not going to get done by tomorrow night, that is for sure.

I'll let Big_Johnson know about your game.

Well...last night I played around with BF1942 and basically have it back the way it was...not perfect but playable.

I can play tonight (I hope) or Sunday...or both.

Sunday afternoon won't work for me, unless it's later. It's Mother's day, and I'm taking my parents and my sister and her husband out to lunch. If you want to try to organize something, I'll try to be there.

Cya tonight!

have tried the demo

how does the full game compare?

seems in the demo you jump in a tiger and doom it out ... get outa the tiger and a sniper you can't see kills ya

haven't flown the planes yet, are there any in the demo?

those in the game, can you use two controlers (stick/peds) to fly them?

Eagler, you don't want to fly the planes, the controls are ludicrous compared to a real flight sim. You can only use a mouse and keyboard to fly with.

Needless, to say, I stick to just the ground vehicles and foot soldiering.

You're right, it is a lot like Doom. It's wild, chaotic, mindless fun. Something you can jump right into and jump right out of no matter how much time you have to play. At this point in my life, being busy with my job and my family, a game like BF1942 fills the bill nicely.

Eagler_Johnson.....has a nice ring to it, don't you think? ;)

You mean, you *can* use a joystick in BF1942? LOL, I didn't even think to look. I just went by what someone else told me.
I sit corrected.
