F4i - did you buy an SP2?? Lucky bastage if you did!!

Don't you hate HOs with other road users when you're on a bike?

palef (ressurrected dead guy after HO with car - not my fault either :))

Heya, Palef!  O man, I'm sorry to hear about your accident.  I'm glad you're okay.

You're not alone though, bro.  I went down on the freeway a couple months ago.  Missed a week of work with road rash, cuts, bruises & sore muscles...but at least we're alive!!!

Oops - make self clear - accident was 11 years ago - was resussed 7 times at accident scene - oldie pulled out of a side road with his lights off at 9:30pm at night. Broke neck and back in two places each and wrote my RC30 off. Post concussion syndrome and whiplash injuries kept me off work for 6 months.

Taken me 10 years almost to the day to get another bike. Am now very sedate and selective about when and where I ride. Am considering a Cagiva Mito (125cc 2-stroke - had a blat one one at the nearest road course and was riding around the outside of GSXR600s and R6s in the turns only to wave bye bye down the next straight) for a bit of track day fun.

SOrry to hear about your bingle bud! Track sounds like a good idea to me too - just got news that a mate of mine got knowcked off last night - 2 broken fingers and a knee popped like a tomato - he's 62 as well and just recovering from a shoulder separation from another bike accident. Ignorant flaming car drivers who change lanes with bikes RIGHT alongside their driver door should be shot.

True dat, Gshine.  hehe

Well, I'm glad you're back on the horse, Palef.  I'm sorry about your friend's accident.  I wish him a speedy recovery.

I have a 125cc dirt bike...pretty fun, indeed.  Thought about trading the 600cc F4i for a 250cc track bike, but I'm not sure if I want to make the switch.  No matter what we're on, the track will always be fun.  :D

Proxy kills are ok.

last night in A51, My p38 was being chased by an La7, an LA5 and a spit after I had dive bombed the town. Sure enough, they were about halfway below the cliff edge and about 200mph each, they see my 38 dive in the bomb run, so they dive after me, La7 closes in by cutting inside my dive, he's d700...

drop bombs and rockets, zoom past the town at 50ft and 410mph, la7 now d800 but not losing ground as fast...la5 and spit now closing in too at d1.2.....

the cliff wall takes up all my foward view so I turn right a bit to climb parallel to the wall, la7 now d750 and closing , the gang now at d900... la7 begins to spray, I wiggle left and right as I keep climbing...

38 on WEP, speed now 300mph la7 closing in slowly, cliff still 1/3rd to go, I turn INTO the cliff, La7, La5 and Spit follow, point nose straight UP, speed 250...200...150..130 , la7 now spraying like mad at d700..d701..d710..  P38 at  100 mph, I drop 3 flaps.. cliff edge just above my nose..

I get message "You shot down XXXX #1" , I look back,  the spit had slammed into the wall, then the La7 spins out and smacks the wall too "You shot down XXXX #2" , The La5 wised up and turned away from the cliff, but still climbing, my 38 clears the wall at 60mph, levels, flaps up, gains speed for about 5 seconds, now at 200mph..

Look back, I see the La5 just clearing the cliff, I turn around, close in to d1.1 from it, fire a few 50 cals in his direction, La5 tries to turn ...but since he just cleared cliff and is barely under 100mph, he spins out and smacks the ground. "You shot down XXX #3"

I luv ma' P38! :D :D

Ya know, there's something really satisfying about landing a couple of proxy kills when flying a goon.  Only done it once or twice, but really satisfying.  Nothing like flying a 'Goon of Death' watching planes auger because they misjudged something (such as your proximity to the ground) while trying to dive in and shoot you down.  :D
