1.04 has been under steady construction. The Ju 88 and Lancaster are coming along nicely. We've been working on some flight model issues this week. So far things are looking promising but we're not finished yet. If things work out the way they're looking, there will be a fairly major change in the 1.04 flight engine primarily dealing with how quickly energy is lost in hard pulls. Other major stuff for 1.04 includes upgrades and fixes to the film viewer and the inclusion of target drones for offline practice.
We're trying to make a last push to get the terrain editor finally released and that's currently our top priority.

ditto to RAMs question.

Also, these target drones......will they manouver or fly straight and level?

I'm guessing they presently bleed E too fast...but only because of what they do when you try to do a 60 degree bank level (2G) turn.

Be interesting though...and the best part is knowing they just keep working on it. I like guys that are never satisfied with their own work!

I believe Pyro means less induced drag in v1.04.

I wonder if Pyro has looked into the 109 "prop drag" issue?

This is good news! Many thanks again to the HTC folks who continue to improve an already superior sim.

Less drag at higher aoa's.  The drones are nothing special right now.  They just circle the airfield to give gunnery practice.  They don't even run a real flight model.  So don't expect too much there yet.

Westy,

Trainers are happy to be non-evading target drones.  You can shoot them down all day.  It's fun.
