First summer in new bungalow.  10' ceilings with 8' glass on SW facing wall.  I went to work and forgot to leave the AC on.  BAD IDEA.
I have learned my lesson.  Fortunately the landlord pays utilities.

Try some Mylar. You will be amazed at how much heat it blocks.

I work in a metal hanger in Southern Arizona. It's totally uninsulated. Try that for hot. The hanger door faces west too. :(
