1. Some game for the Amiga which had two Conan types swordfighting. If you did it perfectly, you could cut the head off the opponent, and his head would fall off and bounce and roll, and blood would spray out of the neck of the body.

Funked that must be "Barbarian" or "Barbarian2" - indeed an excellent gory fighting game. I played ad nauseum on the C64. The amiga remakes featured better gfx (of course) but didn't have the "spirit" - btw, wasn't there a Barbarian remake on the common next gen consoles?

i remember i lost interest after a read about a cheat. a name you put in on the top scores. after that it was unlimited lives for sodan.

Moonstone was also good. You were a knight and had to do a series of batles to win the game. Very gory.

Was that the one where you and your opponent were on a log bridge doing the karate maneuvers?  My roommate and I used to do that one alot.  It was pretty cool.  Not ground-breaking, but still cool.  And not as cool as Intellivsion Boxing with the cinderblock glove.

Yeah, I think the ref blew the whistle once out of 5 high-sticks and hooks.  We used to do that one on Saturdays before going outside to play football or whatever.  It was kind of fun watching a guy on a break-away, then I'd come up behind him and hook his skate.  "What? No penalty? Open yer eyes, ref!"
