Linux? I can not figure out why anyone would bother.... lol.

I worked at a place that would let a limux club use the lunch room on weekends, some of us had to work weekends...... OMG the lunch room looked like a casting call for revenge of the nerds I **** you not.

Not saying your a geek Estes, but you have got to admit, linux does attract them like **** does flies.

You have AOL, I think you'd fit perfectly together with Linux. :) (G,D,R)

I think she's gorgeous. I fully support your idea of messing around with it.

Why not?  If you're up for learning something new, tinker away.  Just get rid of that filthy potato background you picked up.  Your computer will probably get some nasty virus if you don't!  :D

linux is fun to just to learn, but then you realize that's not much you can do with it, unless you're into networks or some other esoteric stuff.

Mandrake is bad....installed it on 2 servers and watched the bastid implde upon itself.  Warts and all, went back to RedHat 8....no problems since.

Mandrake's XML parser had issues and numerous other anomalies I had.

Again, my situation was for 2 web servers.  I have 2 Windows 2000 Servers and wanted to have some Linux based ones to compare against.  So far, RH 8 is performing nicely

Dunno about as a game/workstation environment
