One nay vote.........

Killshooter will stay off for the rest of this setup.
Always room for experiment, IMHO.  Edison wasn't successful on his first attempt at the light bulb.

I will look at the night time.........didn't realize it was lasting a full hour.......am shooting for as brief a time period as possible.

Thanks for the feedback, fellas......and gals!  !

Why do people not like the night ? The terrain is as bright as ever as is objects and other planes, the only thing dark is the sky, even the clouds are still illuminated, so I don't get it . I must have my gamma cranked way up or something because I can bomb hangars from 15k and shoot down gray la5's .

I just checked my gamma settings are 1.00 for desktop, glide, direct3d and video overlay . Brightness is at about 70% .

IF the informal poll was still open, I would say:

Killshooter off, absolutely
Until we have better modelling of night actions, keep the lights on.

And Batz:  Many of the CT regulars have plenty of CMing (and even game design) experience.  Perhaps consulting us once in a while is not such a bad idea.  We are a resource, not a hindrance.  Use us.

miska

event planning and event sttings dont have muuch to do with settings in an open arena.

There were many debates over settings since the ct was turned over to the cms. Taking the opinion of 12 people isnt representative of cms and surely isnt representative of those who fly in the ct.

The folks to "ask" would be those with the most experience. The ct cms themselves.

Id say off as well. How long till AH2?  Im tired of flying in Batz's playground.  Go ahead dude, call me a piece of sh*t. Speaking of sh*t, yours has got a bit old. If you want to run the CT why are you not still a CM? You cant say its lack of time, you spend hours on the BBS squeaking about anyone or anything "Allied".

Hmm, well I like it off because the tardlings that fly through you while you are shooting get their just reward. Then again, I lost a fighter to some nitwit who decided to try and steal a kill by shooting through me.

Honestly, either on or off suits me fine, I can live with it regardless.

Since it is currently off, leave that way for this set-up.

Whatever,

Saying that your 12 "votes" should  decide how an arena should be run is stupid. If ya dont like that so what.

But even so my "vote" in this poll is that it would be better to get the advice of those who have more experience over the course of the life of the ct.

Killshooter on/off makes no difference until it effects you. The casual guy who drifts into the ct to be tk'd or doesnt realize that killshooter is off and tks his team mates then a problem may arrise. With ks on you control what happens to you.

You dont get anything "more real" with it on or off. But you can avoid problems that may run off a casual ct'r. This discussion should have took place on the ct cm forum before it was decided and then that would be it.

Eddiek can make what ever settings he wants. He asked for an opinion and got one. But when you log in and its nightime and the arena is black and there are only 5 guys milkrunning ya might wanna rethink that.

fyi

You can control what you read on the bbs. No one held ya hostage and said "go read what batz wrote".
