I did some more research and found that during the testimony, a medical examiner said that the man may have died a few hours after the accident instead of the two days that the driver originally stated in her initial testimony, so you might be right about that, but that doesn't change the part about her saying that he begged for help and she didn't do anything but apologize and check on him occasionally until he was dead.
