Getting them to orbit the earth is easy.

Now orbiting the moon is the squeak.  Best I could do with the moon is ten orbits before it got flung off into the earth.

So far I've managed to destroy earth 1000 times over, get satalites to reverse orbit, s weave between the moon and earth, but I haven't managed to get one to stay in orbit longer than about 20 minutes.

fun though :D

I was reading, and it seems the only truly stable moon orbits are polar orbits which won't work in this 2D sim.  :)

I managed to get three different stable orbits that have been orbiting earth for the last 2 hours. They are radically different ones too and in both directions.

managed to do the figure of 8, been trying to get one to orbit the moon, only managed one that went 4 times round the moon, others do 2 orbits round it then get sucked into it as it goes away

haha just had one that went round the moon 3 times then got sucked to earth and entered constant orbit round it!

Have one in stable Earth orbit, now going on 4 hours.
Had one do the figure 8 thing twice then splash

By the way no life now on earth, as no area not impacted by  satellites many times over.

Anyone get any stable long distance orbits (out of black area)?

This is evil!!!!  I've got a couple that have been going for about 4 hours now.  I don't want to close the window!  I feel some sort of strange attachment to my little satellites.  I want the buggers to live as long as possible.
